Nick received his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and then obtained his J.D. cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During law school Nick clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney in which he prosecuted criminals under a special law license with attorney supervision. Additionally, he and his trial partner became the only students in the history of NIU Law to win the school’s mock trial and moot court competitions. Nick then represented NIU as a member of their national mock trial and moot court teams where he competed against schools from across the country.
Upon graduation from law school Nick worked at a large plaintiff’s personal injury firm in which he handled cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, sexual assault, medical malpractice and social security disability. Nick then worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the City of Chicago Law Department. In his capacity as Assistant Corporation Counsel, Nick defended the City of Chicago in various civil litigation matters including workman’s compensation, personal injury and police misconduct. Following a desire to return to advocating on behalf of injured people, Nick joined Whiteside and Goldberg in 2018 where he practices personal injury and workman’s compensation.
During his young career Nick has already taken over a dozen cases to jury trial and has litigated hundreds of cases at hearings and arbitration.
