Bryan J O’Connor Jr., in his 15+ years of practice, has first-chaired more than twenty-five jury cases, including cases involving railroad negligence, nursing negligence, construction (work place) negligence, and product liability. In a particularly unique case, and as part of his successful settlement of the underlying wrongful death claims against the property owner, O’Connor arranged for an assignment of the property owner's contribution action against the employer, who sought to recoup monies from the wrongful death settlement. At the contribution trial, O’Connor convinced the Jury that the employer was primarily at-fault for the client’s death, thereby precluding the employer from recouping any monies from the wrongful death settlement.  O'Connor has also second-chaired another 10-15 cases, including multiple complex medical negligence cases.

O'Connor has secured substantial settlements in other especially difficult cases, including a wrongful death action involving negligent discharge of a weapon, a product liability action involving severe burns to a child from an excessively flammable coat, and a worker falling through a skylight placed excessively close to a vent which required regular maintenance. O'Connor was part of a MDL action against Merck for its Vioxx drug, in which O'Connor and other obtained significant settlements for their catastrophically injured clients.

O'Connor is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers’ Association and Illinois State Bar Association. O'Connor graduated from St. Rita high school in Chicago, and University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and remains supportive of Teamsters Local 744, with whom he worked during high school and college.
